Still fresh from his undisputed title victory, Josh Taylor can return to his home country for a stellar title defense. Top Rank Promotions have already begun the works. After vanquishing an unbeaten Jose Ramirez for all four super lightweight belts, Taylor was looking at several potential opponents for his next fight. However, a mandatory title defense might be the next step on his journey.
Although nothing is official as of now, there are signs that Josh Taylor will defend his WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF belts against UK’s Jack Catterall. Interestingly, Catterall, who is also an undefeated pugilist, has been on a steady rise in his pro career,
However, as ‘Tartan Tornado’ is not unfamiliar with handing people their maiden losses, Catterall might see a similar ill-fate in the ring. Meanwhile, a southpaw vs southpaw collision will be alluring to witness, putting some sheer challenges before Taylor. While Josh Taylor silenced his critics against Ramirez, going against a southpaw might be more of a hectic task.

Josh Taylor was not quite happy with how the telecasters handled his last fight against Jose Ramirez. Despite having the unification status on board, Sky Sports reportedly didn’t pick the fight to telecast in the UK. Instead, they bagged the rights of Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul’s showdown.
