Three-division world champion Roy Jones Jr. is one of the finest pugilists to have ever played the sport. In a career that spanned across almost three decades, Jones has had several glorious memories to look back at.
Although he has lost 9 fights, his 66 wins with 47 KOs cement him as one of the greatest. That said, Jones Jr. has been an underdog several times in his life. But ‘Captain Hook’ has emerged stronger from the odds, beating almost all of his opponents.
Even though he retired in 2018, he has returned to action this year in a special exhibition fight against Mike Tyson. Akin to his previous fights, several fans have had their support for Tyson. However, Roy Jones Jr. again beat the odds and put on a commendable performance against ‘Iron’ Mike to conclude the exhibition as a draw.

As ‘Captain Hook’ has overcome his critics all his life, he has asked his fans to do the same. The former world champion boxer recently turned to Twitter to put forth an inspirational message.

Following his fight against Tyson, Roy has vowed to accept more fights in the future. He has also challenged Glenn McCrory for an in-ring collision and has also touted a rematch against Mike Tyson.

So, we can expect to see him keep swinging for his love towards the sports and fans. Apart from that, Jones Jr. is also a boxing trainer now and is assisting the young punchers all day long. Amid all this, he continues to inspire the younger generation with his boxing accolades and life experiences.

Being the first natural middleweight to have won a heavyweight title, Roy Jones Jr. has always pushed his limits. Even at his dotage, he does the same and asks his fans to follow the path.
