“I will undergo surgery at Cedars-Sinai on Monday. I promise early 2022 I will return better!” Garcia said in a tweet. Nearly two months after his surgery, Garcia is finally back in action as he began training.
‘KingRy’ posted a TikTok video on his Instagram stories captioned, “When your doctor finally clears you to start training.” In the video, Garcia bobs his head to the TikTok famous song ‘Drilla – Freestyle’ from Opps & Blocks.

He then pans the camera to the side, revealing a reflex bag next to him, an indication that he has started training again. Garcia first found fame because of his training videos on that very bag, the reflex bag.
Garcia would post videos on Instagram and TikTok, unleashing a flurry of fast punches on the reflex bag. These videos garnered millions of views and gained him a lot of followers.

Ryan Garcia is interested in fighting Isaac Cruz in 2022
‘KingRy’s highly awaited comeback fight will be in 2022. The former interim champion is back in training and looks to fight Mexican powerhouse Isaac Cruz in 2022. Following his decision loss to Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, Cruz showed he is a tough fight for anyone in the division.

Garcia called out Cruz after his fight, and Cruz was more than willing to fight Garcia. “He is free to express himself however he wants, I have nothing to say about him outside of ring.”
“All he has to do is call my promoter and tell me where to sign, and I’d go to the patio of his house to fight him without a problem,” Cruz told Boxeo Mundial.
