

The British boxing icon Ricky Hatton, 43, retired from the sport a decade ago in 2012 for good and turned trainer. His legacy left a big impression on his son Campbell Hatton, as he also took an interest in the sport and decided to train under the wings of his legendary father to become a professional boxer. During training, the father-son duo had many sparring sessions. But according to his son among them, one ended on a very brutal and hilarious note.

In an interview with Mailonline Sport, the younger Hatton shared a hilarious incident. He mentioned how his father reacted after dropping him with a brutal body hook.

Certainly, the shot landed was not intentional. It was just a muscle memory. Hilariously, to avoid any mess in the family, Hatton requested his son not tell anything about it to his mother.

This incident reminds us how good Hatton was in his heydays. During a career span of over a decade, Hatton clinched several titles at light-welterweight and one at welterweight. His aggressive fighting style earned him a lot of fame. Additionally, he posed a real challenge to boxing greats like Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, though lost against them.
