“That Would Be My Opportunity To Show Everybody…”: Weeks After $21 Million Achievement, Terence Crawford Ambitious For Showdown With Canelo Alvarez

Terence Crawford is still riding high on his victory against Errol Spence Jr.. The bout achieved a gate revenue of $21 Million. The fight that took its course on the 29th of July saw a lethal clash between the two elite fighters only to see Crawford bring home the victory. Errol tried his hardest from the beginning, but Crawford’s dominance shone through. The fight has opened up a world of opportunities for both of them, but mostly Crawford.

Still upset about his loss in the ring, Spence Jr. invoked the rematch clause in his contract. The rules state that the person facing the loss is allowed to invoke the clause within thirty days of the bout, and the weight class in which it’ll take its course will be determined by the winner. Now, awaiting his rematch against the Truth, Crawford has already a list of fighters he wants to go against.

In a candid conversation,  Crawford revealed that he really is up to the fight  Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. A proposition that the interviewers found ridiculous did not seem that alien to Bud. Well, going up twenty pounds is a massive risk. Sharing his opinion, the undisputed champion said, “Why is it ridiculous? I meant what I said. That would be my opportunity to show everybody how great Terence Crawford really is.”

Speaking about the weight at which he is ready to undertake the fight, Bud said, “If Canelo wins that fight and accepts my challenge and I come up to 168, and challenge him for undisputed in his weight and that fight happens then, man I going to just show everybody .” His remarks come as Canelo had previously refused to go down in weight to meet Crawford in the ring. 

Jermell Charlo is coming for Bud

Jermell Charlo is all set to fight Canelo Alvarez by going up two weight classes, but he still has his eyes set on the world’s best fighter, Terence Crawford. In a stern message to the undisputed  welterweight, Charlo said, “After My Boy Rematch We Can Give The People What They Want And Make The @tbudcrawford Happen!!”

An undeterred Bud has agreed to the fight. But he also wished his possible opponent all the luck to excel against Canelo. T

Whether Alvarez or Charlo, both fighters will be a great choice of opponent for Terence Crawford in his career.
