It seems to be finally happening! Beyond the shadow of a doubt, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will face each other in the ring in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on February 25. Longtime adversaries Paul and Fury have been chasing a fight since 2021. But, the first time, a fight scheduled on December 2021 keeled because Tommy Fury reported a chest infection and rib injury. A fight rescheduled for August last year met a similar fate, albeit for different reasons. Fury could not travel for the bout due to problems with his US visa.

In the meantime, Tommy Fury fought Daniel Bocianski on April 23 last year. On the other hand, Jake Paul outboxed MMA ‘GOAT’ Anderson Silva on October 29. Last year at the Mayweather-Deji exhibition in Dubai, Tommy Fury and his father, John Fury, had a bitter tiff with Paul. Ever since clips and talks of Jake Paul attempting to revive a Tommy Fury fight went about social media platforms.

As their fight enters the realm of reality, the talks and bantering continue from the fighters’ end and their loyal fans. Tommy Fury’s half-brother and reigning world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury shared his opinion on the upcoming match.

Tyson Fury shares his thoughts on Jake Paul

‘The Gypsy King’ defended his titles with elan from Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora. So during an interview with Sky Sports, Tyson Fury mentioned that Jake Paul presents a legitimate challenge. Something his brother Tommy Fury should not ignore.

He said, “I think he’s a decent boxer. A lot of people think he’s just a YouTube person who doesn’t know how to box but I’ve actually seen him training and I’ve actually seen his fights and I think he’s decent.”

According to Tyson Fury, Paul is no more than an amateur expert. He won all six of his professional boxing bouts. However, the fact remains that his performance is on par with what would be expected of someone of his experience level. “He’s not an Olympic boxer, but then again, neither am I,” said Fury.

While his brother Tommy Fury prepares for the fight, ‘The Gypsy King’ warns

The elder Fury brother advised his sibling not to take the match casually. He continued, “He can’t just go to the ice cream parlour and not train. He’s got to really focus and have the right sparring and everything, He’s got to take it really seriously.”

According to ‘The Gypsy King,’ when Tommy Fury goes into battle, he can ill afford to waste time worrying about anyone but the opponent. But he has to consider other significant factors at stake as well. The packed house and a prominent spot on the schedule all contribute to the situation’s intensity.

Tyson Fury thinks that ‘TNT’ would win the bout decisively. He predicts that Tommy Fury will knock out his opponent in the first six rounds, as reported by SkySports. He mentioned, “Tommy hits and hurts me, and I’m 20 stone and six foot nine and the heavyweight champion of the world.”

It’s a different matter, although that rumbling amongst fans is already set in motion. A user even asked, ” The excuses are starting already.” Tyson Fury remains undefeated. Hopefully, this year, he looks forward to settling the Heavyweight division’s undisputed argument with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk
