Tommy Fury hopes to make a big-bang return this year. Fans last saw him fighting KSI at the Manchester Arena on October 14. In January, he underwent hand surgery to treat an injury that has been afflicting him for the past few years. Hence, he expects a return after a complete recovery. If only the comeback fight happens against archrival Jake Paul, then it would elevate the entire experience to a new level.

After their last fight, Fury and Paul had, at the time, nominally agreed to settle their business once and for all. In the crossover genre, many fans look forward to the Fury-Paul clash. Hence, when fresh reports of ‘TNT’ raising the Jake Paul rematch came up on Twitter, some of the followers couldn’t resist and poured out what they felt could be the feasible aftermath.

So yesterday evening, Happy Punch reported on Tommy Fury expressing an interest in a rematch with Jake Paul. However, it will happen, if it has to happen, once he has recovered completely from the hand injury. The post shared a purported quote from ‘TNT’: “I’m out for a good 6 months, but after that, I’m looking to get it on. Me and Mr. Paul have some left-over business; we’ll tend to that.

The scion of the Fury family and ‘The Problem Child’ duked it out on February 26, last year, at Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia. Tommy Fury defeated Jake Paul by a split decision during their debut meet. It was a closely fought contest that saw the latter knock down the British boxer in the final round.

But to many fans, the writing’s already on the wall.

Doubtful Cheers

Interestingly, the latest predictions follow Jake Paul’s performance during the last two fights. Taking on professional boxers, he won both bouts with first-round knockouts.

Probably nursing similar thoughts, the following user believes that after the struggle he went through against KSI, Tommy Fury will have an uphill task dealing with Jake Paul.

Then to this follower, it appears as if Tommy Fury is intensely pursuing Jake Paul, like the way someone chases the last slice of pizza after a late evening.

The next user also doubts whether Tommy Fury could win against Jake Paul in the rematch. They reasoned that the first bout was fairly tight between the two. In addition, the American YouTuber-turned-boxer has been training hard ever since, trying to get better.

But then this fan believes that Tommy Fury would still get the better of Jake Paul, winning the bout with relative ease.

Finally, this follower took up Tommy Fury’s statement after the KSI fight that he was done with the crossover fights. However, he’s now going after both for rematches.

Clearly, there’s some point in what some of the followers mentioned. Jake Paul suffered his first career loss to Tommy Fury. However, he has come far away from that contest.

The ‘Love Island’ star remains unbeaten in ten fights. But unlike his brother Tyson Fury, he has yet to win a world title. Hence, whether he will stick to what he said about moving out of the crossover boxing matches to chase world championships or follow Jake Paul for their rematch remains to be seen.
