Ahead of the bout on the 22nd of April, Ryan Garcia recently lost his cool with an interviewer over a remark on God. In his latest statement, Gervonta Davis questioned the alleged “saint” status of Ryan Garcia almost labeling the same as a hypocrite. Addressing Garcia’s devotion to God, Davis laughed in public. In a recent interaction with the media, the fighter out of Los Angeles, California demanded to know “what’s so funny“.

Often, the former WBC interim lightweight title holder thanked God for the success he received inside and outside the boxing ring. In fact, following his victory over Javier Fortuna, Garcia claimed he could write a “whole book” on God if need be. Thus, when Garcia felt his faith in and love for God was ridiculed, he made a point to question the media in public. Here is what he asked.

In Gervonta Davis’ opinion, Ryan Garcia has contradicted himself by gambling and drinking. As per ‘Tank’, although Garcia likes to brand himself as a “saint“, he in reality is “more of a bad person” than Davis. Undoubtedly, Garcia took notice of the comments made by his upcoming opponent. Thus, in a recent interaction with the media, Garcia said, “You had mentioned to Gervonta that God keeps me calm. And you guys kind of laughed about it. I did not say that and just wanna know – what’s so funny about that?”

Fight Hub TV uploaded the said interaction. On his latest appearance on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, Garcia stressed his faith in Christianity. In addition, he spoke about Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave”. Garcia believes he has discovered the truth in the same manner in which the prisoner escaped that cave. He believes in the Christian doctrines and promotes that by seeking one will find answers.
