It is a recorded fact that Ryan Garcia is an ardent follower of Christianity. Remember the time he told the world that the only entity that can ultimately decide when he stops boxing is god? Well, in recent receipts of his faith, the fighter got embroiled in an argument of sorts with a fan who questioned his new automobile purchases.

It’s been quite a year for Garcia. In redemption from his career’s first loss against Gervonta Davis this year, he defeated Oscar Duarte via a spectacular knockout early this month. While commending himself for the resilience he showed, the fighter gifted himself two luxury cars as his Christmas presents. The cars are of superior quality, boasting world-class security measures. After the post about the purchase was shared online, most fans were happy for the fighter. However, one came with questions loaded. They tickled the fighter in an area very dear to him- religion.

Ryan Garcia Gives a Fan a Lesson on God

As per the du Point Registry, the $499,000 Cadillac that ‘King Ry’ purchased comes fully armored and level NIJ-III Protection. Further hinting at his efforts to tighten his security. It makes sense for him to buy such a secure car given how popular and surrounded by people he is. However, one fan wondered why would he invest so much in a car for his security. Especially when the god that he believes in is responsible for keeping his believers safe. The fan commented on his post, “So if you believed in this so called magical “God” then you wouldn’t need an armored, grenade proof car.”

While Ry has gotten used to such comments, he thought it was time he broke his silence this time around. In a few lessons on how his faith works, the 25-year-old fighter replied, “I normally wouldn’t respond to stuff like this but it’s in my spirit to make it a learning lesson. First thing God calls us to be wise so it’s wise for me to increase my safety. Second, in a way you are trying to test God which you cannot do. Jesus when tempted by the devil was asked to throw himself off the cliff and angels would save him if you was who he said he was. But didn’t bc you don’t test God. hope that clears that up.”

He successfully defended his car purchase with reference to this fan’s question. However, let’s actually talk about why he made these massive purchases.

“Two Beautiful Gifts” for King Ry

In the Instagram post, he showed off the two majestic black beasts that he poured a collective $724,695 into. While one, as mentioned, was a black armored Cadillac, the other was his dream car. Ry purchased an Audi R8 V10 Performance Spyder that cost a staggering $225,695.

Explaining the thought behind this splurge, Ry wrote, “Two Beautiful Gifts for myself this Christmas…A lot of Hard work and commitment has been put in and it’s paying off. To be clear not just in a materialistic way but it’s just one example of you reaping what you sow.” The fighter also thanked God for giving him the strength to scale all challenges and the opportunity to love his fans.
