Terence Crawford is one of the most dominant welterweights of recent times. The WBO champ often makes the headlines because of his performances, but other times, he’s in the news for his statements regarding his rivals. Earlier this year, Crawford was in the news when he took a dig at the p4p king, Canelo Alvarez.

‘Bud’ has also praised Canelo on many occasions. However, his comments on the undisputed super-middleweight king sparked some controversy.

Speaking to SiriusXM Boxing, ahead of his match with Shawn Porter, he said, “When you look at Canelo’s career, it’s like he’s shied away from the black fighters.

“I think the black fighters give him the most problems.”

Apart from this, Crawford even fired at Alvarez over the pound-for-pound status.

Moreover, the four division champ learned a great deal from his fight against Mayweather. However, a fight against ‘TBE’ remains the only stain on his decorated career.

Moving on, Canelo is a genuine p4p great. Also, he’s one of the most active fighters around, who enjoys taking up the ring space again and again. In the last 11 months, he fought four times, thus making his way to become the undisputed super-middleweight champ.
