Activision and Treyarch has done a great job with their maps in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. The developers introduced tons of maps for both multiplayer and zombies in every major update which has made a lot of fans happy. Along with that, they have remade a lot of fan-favorite classic locations from the older titles of the franchise.

Recently, a popular Call of Duty leaker talked about the arrival of some new maps to Black Ops Cold War. He mentioned that it will include two of the most famous maps from Call of Duty Black Ops II.

Plaza and Yemen rumored to arrive in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War

Popular COD leaker MW2 Ghost recently revealed the two maps set to arrive in the celebrated Activision title. He stated that Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will receive two new remakes in Season 5 which will release next month. He reported that the maps will be Plaza and Yemen from Call of Duty Black Ops II, which is one of the biggest games of the series.

It’s very likely that they will arrive in Season 5 as Treyarch have already added some maps from older titles. This included the addition of Hijacked and Rush in Season 4. It remains to be seen if both maps will release together, or the developers might save one of them for the Season 5 Reloaded update.

Black Ops maps set to arrive from Season 6

Over the past few seasons, the developers have added a lot of old maps from Black Ops II. There has been little news about the maps from the first game of the series. But MW2 Ghost has stated that fans don’t have to wait that long as they will arrive from Season 6. He mentioned that the developers will see some more remakes from Black Ops II till the end of Season 5. Along with that, he also talked about the possibility of developers adding classic locations from other Treyarch Call of Duty titles as well.

It’s cool to see the developers introduce these maps to new fans of the franchise. Many young fans might have not played the maps from the first few titles of the Black Ops franchise. So by adding them to the mix in Black Ops Cold War, Treyarch has done a great service to keep the memory of these locations alive forever.
