“A True Champion”: Oscar De La Hoya and Coach Derrick James Laud Ryan Garcia for His Donation in Kids Welfare

Ryan Garcia is on the road to redemption. It seems he’s trying to win the audience back through various clean-up posts on his social media. Many accused Garcia of losing his mind when his social media accounts were bombarded with erratic posts. Some even claimed that he should pull out of his upcoming fight against Devin Haney since he doesn’t seem fit.
However, gradually, things changed for the better. Garcia seems to be gravitating towards philanthropy. He visited a Kids’ Welfare program in Dallas, Texas and donated a lot of supplies for the kids meeting them personally. His efforts were appreciated by his trainer Derrick James and promoter Oscar De La Hoya as well.

The city of Dallas has many Boys and Girls clubs around. Well, Garcia visited the Oak Cliff Boys and Girls Club, whose founder is none other than Garcia’s trainer, Derrick James. In his Instagram post, he thanked his coach for such an experience. He wrote, “Thank you coach @derrickdjames1 seeing the kids and doing what I can was my honor! Brought me back home. LOVE COVERS A multitude of sins.”

His trainer Derrick James commended Garcia for bringing in food supplies for the kids. He had brought carton packs of baked beans, biscuits, and green beans. James wrote, “We are very thankful for your donation.” Even Oscar De La Hoya was impressed by the altruistic nature of ‘KingRy’. He commented on the post and wrote, “And that’s what makes a true champion !!!”

Ryan Garcia placed a high-stakes bet on the Super Bowl. Just days before the championship game, Garcia declared his allegiance to the Kansas City Chiefs, putting a cool $100,000 on their victory. But this isn’t just about bragging rights. Garcia, ever the showman, has pledged to donate his winnings to charity. He’s even asking fans to help him pick the cause, transforming a potential windfall into a chance to give back.
He wrote, “I’m betting 100k on the Chiefs to win.” After a few hours, he again went on his social media as he wrote, “With all of the winning’s I will donate to charity. Also comment what charity’s are some I should Consider.” However, he saw a problem with that and made amends. He confirmed that he would donate to a charity irrespective of whoever wins in the Super Bowl. However, it didn’t really matter.
