Conor McGregor shares his thoughts on one of the most discussed upcoming fights of 2024. Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson has taken the internet by storm and surprised everybody. Both fighters are set to clash in an exhibition match on July 20th. The buzz-worthy fight will be held at the Dallas Cowboys’ home turf, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Despite the 30-year age gap, Tyson seems excited for the challenge.
He’s acknowledged Paul’s ever-improving boxing skills and expressed interest in testing himself against a younger opponent. This fight, which has still not been classified as an exhibition match or a legitimate pro fight, has all the makings of a must-watch event for boxing fans and casual viewers alike. Although many believe that Mike Tyson will dominate Paul even at the age of 57, the former UFC champion Conor McGregor isn’t too sure about this match-up.
He came across as a bit skeptical when he was asked about his opinions on the marquee contest between the legendary heavyweight fighter and the Youtuber-turned-boxer. In a small video uploaded by Happy Punch on X, McGregor was asked the burning question by the reporter. He seemed to dismiss the hype of the mega-event, stating that the “interest is low”.

McGregor said, “Oh geez I don’t- it’s a bit strange, you know. The interest is low, I don’t know, I don’t understand it. I wish well for Mike.”
Although McGregor did not elaborate on his statement, he might as well belong to the category of fans who believe that the age difference between the two fighters is too much to call it a fair contest. But, notably, despite all the criticism, this bout will definitely be watched by millions all around the world. Moreover, taking inspiration from Paul, his rival Tommy Fury has now called out Conor McGregor.
