The Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics will square off at the preseason match on Sunday. Needless to say, this will be an exciting game to watch. The last time that these two teams met in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoff, the Celtics defeated the 76ers 4-3 in a closely contested series.
Since then, both teams have undergone some changes throughout the summer, so it will be fascinating to see which players and plays will be used as both teams attempt to get off to a strong start in the regular season.

The Celtics made some major power moves just before the preseason kicked off; they let go of Grant Williams and Robert Williams III and traded in Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis. Derrick White’s ascent to the position of starting point guard, along with the acquisition of Porzingis in the absence of Marcus Smart, could prove to be a good move for the team. With this change, Boston’s late-game offense looks hopeful as it resolves a recurrent problem from previous postseasons.

We can be hopeful to see some restructuring in the gameplay. The Jrue and Kristaps P&R combo is one to look forward to. Moreover, Jrue’s defensive threat, coupled with his offensive catalytic ability could take some pressure off of the powerhouse duo of Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum. The Celtics have an uninjured bunch onboard their team this time around; this could serve as an upper hand over the Sixers, where Montrezl Harrell is out due to a knee injury, and James Harden is giving a tough time to the team.

Philly’s Harden Situation
The Sixers’ fans were in a muddy situation as James Harden‘s tantrums were persistent for a few days. It looks like Harden cooled down, at least for now, as he showed up for team practice on Thursday. He has made a reluctant return, and we can only hope that he will conduct himself professionally. The Joel Embiid and Harden power duo would!
With new coach Nick Nurse holding the reins, all eyes will be on him as the team preps to kick off their first preseason match with a win. Embiid, Patrick Beverley, Tyrese Maxey, PJ Tucker, and Tobias Harris are expected to start for the Celtics. Whether Harden will be joining is uncertain, but if he does, he will definitely join as the first five.
