In a recent episode of the KG Certified podcast, 2008 NBA champion Kevin Garnett made some bold predictions regarding Jordan Poole. The Boston Celtics legend outlined the potential for the young guard to be top-five in scoring this year. He also expressed his belief that now with the Wizards, Poole could exhibit even greater strength and explosiveness, drawing a parallel with another player.

4 months after being traded by the Golden State Warriors, Jordan seems to have settled into Washington well. Yesterday, Poole dropped 41 on the Knicks on 10/19 shooting to lead them to a 131-106 win in New York. Despite it being just pre-season, the outing was enough to impress Kevin Garnett.

The player’s performance transcended mere impressiveness, as he delivered a remarkable performance of 41 points, sinking six three-pointers, securing five rebounds, and dishing out two assists.

From a scoring standpoint, it was nothing short of a masterclass by the young guard. With it, Jordan Poole has tied a record set in 2001 by none other than the Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan himself. Notably, MJ was on the same team then that Poole is now playing for.
