The pro wrestling free-agent market is heating up, with notable names like Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks), Giulia, and Trinity (rumored to leave TNA by mid-January). Kamille initially started as a manager and “insurance policy” for former NWA World Champion Nick Aldis. But she quickly made her mark in the women’s division, becoming a global sensation. After concluding her six-year tenure with NWA, Kamille chose not to re-sign as her contract expired this week. Additionally, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE is anticipating a deal with Kamille soon.
Meltzer said, “Kamille (Kailey Latimer, 31), whose NWA contract expired this past week, is expected to end up here [WWE], likely with NXT.” Given her size, look, and athletic ability, she is a perfect fit for WWE, especially under Triple H‘s leadership.

Currently known as Mercedes Mone in NJPW and holding the IWGP Women’s Championship, Banks has reportedly opened communications with WWE about a potential return. The report suggests that changes in ownership and the creative regime have set for a reset in their relationship.
Banks had left WWE during Vince McMahon‘s tenure, primarily due to creative differences. With Triple H now leading creatively, the report indicates a different approach, and WWE is reportedly keen on her return, especially after Charlotte Flair‘s injury.
