A few days ago, the recreated Squid Game was released on YouTube and it took the internet by storm. A total of 456 players competed against each other to get their hands on the $456k grand prize.
Almost every game was the same as it was in the series except the Korean squid game, as they don’t know much about the game’s details. However, the big question that players asked was if MrBeast’s budget was higher than the Netflix for the show.

What was the budget of MrBeast for the Squid Game recreation video?
In an H3 podcast, H3 confirmed that MrBeast has spent over $3.5 million to produce the idea for his audience. Interestingly, it cost Netflix $3.4 million per episode; therefore, Jimmy spent a lot of money producing the video. Although it’s not as close to the amount the entire series cost, it’s still an abundant amount.

Furthermore, H3 also said,” One question was, was it (the video) sponsored by Netflix. Because they definitely own the IP. They would need some kind of license agreement to use the name.” His friend also said he was under the impression this was a promotion. To which H3 replied,” I did too. I thought it’s actually a genius marketing idea. He can’t use the characters, the outfits, the number, the plot points. It’s all part of the IP.”

Surprisingly, the video is not sponsored by Netflix and if what H3 states is true, Jimmy might end up in big trouble with Netflix. He further said,” He basically screwed himself. If he gets sued he has not altered this (the video) at all.”
