Gotham Knights was released last year for all consoles, excluding the Nintendo Switch. Fans of DC comics swarmed this third-person action-adventure game and made sure it was a decent success. Even though critics and gamers both gave this game a very polarising response, that did little to shake the confidence of its developers.
And that’s why fans will soon be getting their hands on an unexpected new expansion for this game. An expansion that would bring some really exciting new things to this game!

Gotham Knights is all set to receive a new expansion!
Gotham Knights was launched to mixed reviews last year due to a bunch of reasons. The biggest culprits are its repetitive combat, lackluster performance, and the locked 30 FPS cap on next-gen consoles, despite this game having last-gen visuals.

The developers took a stand and started working on various fixes for this game. They released multiple updates such as visual fixes, then they released some other bug fixes, and then they went completely radio silent. There were some smaller patches, but they came and went without much fanfare.
But it looks like the developers were working on an actual remedy to this game’s problems after all. A recent rumor has revealed that Gotham Knights will soon be getting a huge DLC that will bring a lot of changes to it.

The changes would include redesigned boss fights for the likes of Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, and Clayface. Besides that, the game would now feature new side missions such as “Most Wanted Criminals” and an event called the KELVIN incident.

This seems like an adequate enough add-on for fans who really appreciated the original game and had been looking for a reason to get back to it. Aside from this, though, fans hope that they will also be treated to a big enough story DLC. This might come sometime in the future, but for now, what they are getting is better than nothing!
What about the Suicide Squad though?
It appears WB had also green-lit DLC to keep those fans occupied who were eagerly waiting for the Suicide Squad game. The game was delayed until next year after a recent showcase of the game was met with a negative response from fans.

It is being said that the developers are currently overhauling the game’s combat and removing some GAAS elements from it. It would be interesting to see the changes when they decide to show this game again in the future.
