There are a number of things fans can achieve in Animal Crossing: New Horizons by making use of a simple time-travel feature. You can unlock special furniture, event-related items, seasonal goods, and so on. In case, if you have missed out on a certain event, then you can even travel back in time to reclaim your lost rewards.

Time Traveling back in Animal Crossing New Horizons breaks the game
The YouTuber joined the game via a modded Switch console, but it had no implications on the exploit. YouTuber just used the time travel feature to jump forward in time, alongside her friend, who stayed in the normal time frame. The fish tournament seemed a day ahead, but the glitch allowed her to run up in time and trigger the tournament for both herself and her friend in New Horizons.
The hud showcased the reverse count down, along with the amount of fish caught. However, the same was not available for Ceo, who interacted with C.J to start the mini-game. The exploit allowed her friend to experience and take part in the tournament despite not being on the incorrect timeline.

Sadly, the dialog options with the villagers also suffered the brunt of this exploit, as Ceo could sell her cache of fishes, but not her friend. How useful is this glitch in the actual tournament? It is tough to say if this can actually offer any real use, but it is surely quite hilarious to see the game break down.
