However, fans can rejoice somewhat as a fan has come up with ideas on how to develop a game based on the award-winning series. For an open-world game to adopt the theme and narratives of Breaking Bad could have phenomenal results and fans have waited patiently for any publisher to pick up on the community’s wishes. With the latest technology like the Unreal Engine 5,  GTA-like gameplay may finally be possible in a BB setting.

Breaking Bad can offer great potential for developers

The roller-coaster ride of Jesse Pinkman and Walter White has become the stuff of legends among fans. From a humble high-school chemistry teacher to a drug lord, White’s surreal life journey touched the hearts of millions of viewers across the world. On the other hand, Jesse’s character development left fans with a broken heart as the show ended. Apart from the two main characters, Hank, Skyler, Gustavo or the Twins all left scathing marks on fans and celebs alike.

Despite having an intensive plot line, no publisher has yet expressed any desire to develop a game based on Breaking Bad. However, for years fans have fantasized about an open-world masterpiece like the GTA franchise that could effectively replicate New Mexico’s landscape as seen in BB.

TeaserPlay released a video on YouTube in late June 2023 where a such a concept was explored to great lengths. However, the new video made using Metahuman and Unreal Engine 5 has showcased some stunning visuals that have the fans livid and asking for more.

The graphics look stunning with some excellent car and gameplay mechanics. Fans are further overjoyed at the idea that you can ride your favorite RV into the hot desert of New Mexico to do have your secluded “cooking” sessions. One fan is convinced that all this game needs is a chemistry puzzle.
