Fortnite has made its name synonymous with pop culture. Epic’s time-tested strategy of teaming up with some of the most famous franchises to release limited-time cosmetic items, game modes, and other in-game events has always been well received.

Fortnite Season 5 has hosted some exciting crossovers for pop culture fans. In doing so, Epic has managed to exceed expectations by securing collaborations with the likes of DC, Star Wars, God of War, and other reputed franchises. The current season focuses on Agent Jonesy and his quest to gather the most dangerous bounty hunters across the multiverse.

Flash has been the most recent addition to the star-studded cast of skins. The scarlet speedster will join Batman, Kratos, The Mandalorian, and other fan favorites in Fortnite. Additionally, the ‘Flash Duos’ cup was revealed, which allows the top duos in each region to get early access to the skin.

What to expect from Fortnite x Tron

Data-miner Hypex revealed a new leak regarding the new portal extension. This was previously rumored to be part of a Five Nights at Freddie’s crossover. However, “Mainframe” is the name of this new portal. Additionally, the image reveals a likely crossover with Disney’s Tron as it shows ‘The Grid’ (an arena where Tron characters battle). Upon looking close enough through the portal and you will even see a light-cycle. Moreover, the music that can be heard is reminiscent of the Tron: Legacy soundtrack created by Daft Punk.

Tron follows the story of a hacker who discovers an alternate digital universe. Upon entering, he must ensue in vehicular battles to survive. This crossover is likely based on the sequel, Tron Legacy. Furthermore, the sequel features the protagonist’s son who journeys into the digital world and defeats the overlord by taking up the form of Quora.

If there’s one thing Epic is a master of, it is nostalgic collaborations. This crossover could bring us some of the most desirable in-game cosmetics. From Light cycle gliders, luminescent new skins to a Tron-themed game mode, at this stage the possibilities for Epic are unlimited.
