Carlos Sainz jr was already a motor sporting royalty before he stepped foot in Formula 1. Being the son of Rally champion Carlos Sainz, the world of cars wasn’t an alien one for him. Growing up idolizing the legendary Spaniard Fernando Alonso and dreaming of the red car, Sainz junior had a dream. Now, 15 years later, racing for his dream team, he has a fan base of his own away from the inheritance, but he still can’t fathom why.

A twitter user shared a Shell Ad in which Sainz said, “I remember having my first fans, and this gave me a great feeling when I was racing in these places around the world. I thought I was no one and suddenly you have your, you start having your fan base. And I didn’t understand why they would follow me because I was no one you know, but it’s a great little feeling. And since then you have a special, always special relationship with your first fans.”

With the fans in place, the next stop is delivery. While last season wasn’t the best for Prancing Horse due to reliability and strategic blunders, they are all geared up for 2023. But the actual question is, does the team have their number one driver in place.?

Frederic Vasseur, the new TP, has decided to treat the drivers equally despite having a head start with Charles Leclerc at Alfa Romeo. With only one goal in his mind, he has decided to keep the team united for as long as possible. According to him, if and when the time comes, he will take a call, but for now, he believes in the abilities of both his drivers and, in fact, shares a relatively unknown connection with Chilli.
