The newly-rebranded Alpine team will enter the grid with Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon this season. Replacing Daniel Ricciardo in the French team, the young Spaniard is making a comeback to Formula 1 after leaving in 2018.
As a younger teammate, Esteban Ocon has a lot to learn from his experienced, former champion teammate. The young Renault driver explained that Alonso still in shape and threatening as ever in a Formula 1 car.
He said, “Fernando is perfectly capable of starting completely ready, he has done many tests, he has a lot of experience even though he has been away for two years, he has been driving here and there always staying in shape, he still seems to be 20 years old, so he will be ready from the first moment.”

“He is someone I respect a lot as a pilot, with whom I have had many fights, everything is fine. My respect for him It’s massive, no doubt, but the two of them, Fernando and Michael, put the love of motoring inside me.”
Fernando Alonso has been involved with the team since last year and has been training to prepare for his much-awaited comeback. The return of a former world champion is going to make the grid more exciting, and we hope Alonso can help Renault climb on the podium just like he did during the 2000s.
