Lando Norris is certainly a global superstar. He has shown constant growth ever since his debut in 2019, both on the track and his image off it. However, it turns out that some people cannot recognize the 6-time podium finisher in F1 and the popular twitch streamer.

After the hectic doubleheader, Norris has been enjoying the two-week break with his friends. As he was cherishing his time on a water sports boat, the boat driver asked, “Where do you come from?” to which Lando replied, “from England.”

Still not recognizing the man who hired the boat, the driver once again asked, “What’s your job here?” When Norris replied Formula 1, the driver was not able to identify him.

Thinking that he is a safety car driver, he proceeded to ask Norris whether he knows Richard Darker, the co-driver of the safety-car in F1. Lando was undoubtedly bemused and he realized the boat driver thinks he operates the safety car.

He hilariously added, “He doesn’t know. He thinks I drive the safety car.” Well, for him, it’s another job title to add to his resume. The McLaren man is now a ‘part-time’ F1 driver, streamer, golf player, and now a safety car driver.

Lando, however, has performed consistently despite not having the best of cars. At the same time, his teammate Daniel Ricciardo has struggled to adjust to the car. Although the young Briton is dominating, he felt the MCL-36 is difficult to drive and backed his teammate.

“I do feel like it’s a difficult car to drive, our car. You know, I think our characteristics which he’s also had over the past few years, even Carlos Sainz said it, they’re quite specific and unique so some of the driving styles you need are like not ones you kind of grow up learning, and therefore you have to adapt quite a bit,” he stated.
