Lawrence Stroll Reportedly Gains More Control of Aston Martin After Stakeholder Shakeup

Lawrance Stroll invested heavily in Aston Martin last year for a significant stake in the company. He later headed the Rebranding of Racing Point to Aston Martin racing this season. Recent reporters state that the Canadian Billionaire has increased his stake and control over the luxury racing company.
According to the report, Stroll hopes to invest more in Aston Martin’s F1 vertical. The second board shakeup in less than a month allegedly had three members step down and replaced by five backed by Stroll.
“Stroll has increased his control over Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings – and by extension, the Aston Martin F1 Team – after Kuwaiti investors shrank their shareholder stake.”

“The move gives Stroll greater control over the direction the brand is heading in, with its Formula 1 team expected to play a crucial role in his overall grand strategy to revive the British carmaker,” stated the report.

Aston Martin Racing’s 2021 season target
Aston Martin is making a comeback to the grid after six-decades. The team missed the P3 finish by seven points as McLaren beat them in the season finale. Otmar Szafnauer has clarified that this season, the team is going in for that P3 finish.

“It will be the target for us. But I don’t think it will be easy – we’ve got some formidable competitors there. Ferrari, for sure, will work hard over the winter to do better than they did last year.”
