F1 might have just had the first controversial moment of the season. During a fun and game session with Sky Sports that involved the McLaren pair of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo, fans saw some really enjoyable moments. However, there was also one unfortunate thing that happened.

During a friendly space hopper race on the start-finish straight, Ricciardo did his teammate dirty. The Aussie driver hit Lando Norris in the face with his space hopper while he was trying to pass him.

Ricciardo immediately rushed towards the 22-year-old when he saw the blow was a bit too hard. He later took to social media to give an update about Norris’ condition. Many other drivers, like Lewis Hamilton, also chimed in on the fun and tweeted their responses.

Ricciardo stated,” He’s ok,” to which the 7-time world champion replied,” Is he actually?”

The Honey Badger immediately regretted his actions and went ahead to comfort his ailing teammate.

Although the situation was nothing serious, Ricciardo realized he hit Norris a bit too hard for his own liking. The Aussie instantly understood that the hit may have had a bit too much force behind it.

It is nice to see that the situation is all resolved and there was no serious intent behind it. If something would have happened to Norris, almost all of the UK would have been calling out the Honey Badger ahead of the British GP.

But both Mclaren drivers took it in their stride and moved on from the incident. They would hope that they can battle it out on the track this weekend for major points and get one up on each other. Let’s see if Norris can get his revenge at Silverstone on Sunday.
