The precarious position that 7x champion Lewis Hamilton finds himself in has triggered a lot of speculation about his Mercedes future. Recently the news has been filtering out that the 38-year-old is keenly being targeted by Ferrari. While Hamilton has on more than one occasion pledged his allegiance to the Silver Arrows, it would appear that this time around the Brackley-based team has failed to repay that favor.

From the looks of it, the Brit ditching Mercedes for the Scuderia seems like an unlikely prospect. However, Mercedes aren’t ready to risk anything, even when it comes to their talisman! Hence, according to various sources, it would appear that the team have already finalized a replacement for Hamilton if in case he does decide to jump ship.
