Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are involved in an intense championship battle that is surely going down to the wire. Both drivers are driving at optimum levels in the best cars on the grid. They both have also traded blows with each other both on and off-track this season.
The most intense moment in the title battle happened in Silverstone when they both collided with each other. The crash was inevitable as both of them have been battling for positions all season long. And it was the Red Bull driver who was edging the 7-time world championship but not in Silverstone.

It was about time to make a point for Lewis Hamilton: Christian Danner
As reported by Motorsportmagazine, a long-time RTL TV pundit, Christian Danner stated Hamilton sent a message to his young rival at the British Grand Prix. Danner believes that after being beaten on track comprehensively by Verstappen up till Silverstone, Hamilton had to make a point to Verstappen.
“It was about time to make a point for Lewis,” says Danner.

“There were too many things happening where he backed off, and Max drove really hard. I think it was in Paul Ricard. I think it was in Portimão, I think it was in Imola. I’m sure there were more hidden ones!

The RTL pundit gives his opinion on the Red Bull-Mercedes team fight
It’s not only the drivers who are fighting but their team principals as well. Christian Horner and Dr. Helmut Marko have targeted both Mercedes and Toto Wolff frequently and vice versa. Danner stated that the fight between the teams will not stop or slow down anytime soon.
“It’s not going to calm down from a teams’ perspective. Both of them, Helmut [Marko] and Toto are very bright and intelligent. They play the game as well as they can, according to their internal rulebook.

“Of course, they give each other s***. But what I like about it is that it’s got a certain amount of intellectual level, between Helmut and Toto,” said Christian.
