It’s finally here, the moment that we all have been waiting for. Today is the launch date for Mercedes to remove the cover from their F1 car for the 2021 season. However, in peak Merc fashion, they jumped up us all by revealing it on their Twitter handle just half an hour before the official launch.
It is a beautiful livery, to say the least. While they shunned their silver design to go all-black last season, they are re-incorporating part of their iconic color scheme. From the nose to the mid-section, it is a shiny black gradient. But close to the engine cover, it has shades of silver.

Can Mercedes hold off the challenge from Red Bull?
The 2021 technical changes, or the lack of it thereof, play nicely into the hands of their closest rivals, Red Bull. They will carry over most of their 2020 car into this season. On the other hand, Red Bull will expectedly make changes to their car, which was difficult to drive last season.
In the power unit department, Mercedes may have peaked too, whereas Honda will pour their heart and soul into giving their customers the best possible power train to compete not just in 2021 but till 2025.
