Aston Martin have always relied on the logic of providing their drivers with the best internal atmosphere to retrieve energetic on-track performances out of them. Did that work out with the new-comer, Sebastian Vettel?

Well, turns out it did.

The German had a rather treacherous couple of seasons at Ferrari over 2019 and 2020. His confidences took frequent hits through the two years, with the first one striking the German when Charles Leclerc joined the team. The Monegasque outperformed Vettel over most of the race weekends.

Later on, amid constantly ending up behind Leclerc, Ferrari scrapped Vettel off the ‘number 1 driver’ tag. Then came the shocking news of the Italian team terminating their relationship with the four-time world champion.

Such massive blows may have led to the disappearance of Vettel’s actual racing ability and making him look more like an amateur. Well, worry no more. Sport1 alleges that the older version of Sebastian Vettel could return to the paddock soon.

Apparently, Vettel is already ‘feeling good’ at home at Aston Martin. Furthermore, he is also convinced of the team’s potential following his brief visit to the headquarters. During the visit, he spoke to every single engineer working in the team.

Not just the engineers, but the management as well. Vettel had long chats with Otmar Szafnauer and technical director, Andrew Green. And following the talks, he hailed the team as a “great group“.

Sebastian Vettel regaining the ‘feel-good’ factor

Vettel joined the team for the first time during the seat fitting and eventually left for his home in Switzerland.

However, due to the lockdown citing the COVID-19 wildfire in England, the German could not travel often to his team’s headquarters, situated in Gaydon.

Hence, until England is clear of the coronavirus fear, Vettel will constantly be in touch with his team via video conferencing and e-mail. Furthermore, the former Ferrari driver has been preparing hard for the upcoming season at home with his Swedish trainer, Antti Kontsas.

This clearly portrays the German’s enthusiasm over his new expedition with the world-famous team, Aston Martin. Hence, this hints at the Stroll-led team’s goal in reviving Vettel’s form panning out perfectly.

We make sure that we not only give the drivers the car, but also the environment, the tools, everything they need to do their best. For both of them,” he said. “If we can do these things, I think the points, the podiums, and the victories will come naturally.”
