The family’s hard work indeed paid off as the driver went on to become arguably the best driver to have graced F1. Even though this season wasn’t the greatest for him, he made sure to make the best out of it.
The 300th race was undoubtedly a milestone for the driver, who has also picked up 103 poles and 103 wins in his career.

In the latest race, Hamilton stood P2. In fact, it was a double podium finish for the Silver Arrows, and safe to say they deserved it. After the race leader crashed out, Hamilton held off a much faster Red Bull throughout the race. He showed great resilience against a piece of superior machinery.
For his very first race, the driver had qualified at an impressionable P4. He basically had the job of keeping ahead of Sauber’s Nick Heidfeld and he did as he made it to his first podium in the first race itself. Notably, Hamilton had then even overtaken teammate Fernando Alonso at turn 1, marking his electrifying entrance.
