Romain Grosjean Expresses His Frustration With 2022 F1 Season

Formula One recently announced the calendar for the 2022 season. And as expected, it will host a record-breaking 23 races. The sport tried to host 23 races in the 2021 season as well, but due to travel restrictions in certain countries, they were forced to chop the season down to 22 races. Although fans are happy that the sport will have 23 races, Former F1 driver Romain Grosjean was left a bit upset after the announcement.

Romain Grosjean expresses his disappointment with the 2022 F1 Calendar

Grosjean is currently racing in the IndyCar series in the USA, but he still follows F1 races. He took to social media to express his disappointment as several F1 races will clash with the IndyCar races.

It is a mere coincidence that the French GP and Iowa races will clash with each other. But the Indy 500 and Monaco GP have clashed previously as well.
Previously in 2017, Fernando Alonso had to miss the Monaco Grand Prix, as he was racing in the Indy 500 race on the same day. Jenson Button, his former teammate, replaced him in a one-off appearance.

Formula One CEO Stefano Domenicali expressed his excitement after the announcement of the new 2022 season calendar. In the 2022 season, the sport will introduce new cars and new regulations.
