What a race from Alex Albon!! The Williams driver finished P10 in the Australian Grand Prix after going the entire race with just one pit stop. But it came as a shock to the fans none more than to Lando Norris when it was revealed his friend did his only pit stop on the last lap.
It was certainly an interesting strategy from Williams to leave their driver out for so long. The Thai driver started the race plumb last after getting disqualified from the qualifying session.

It surprised Lando to know that Albon got points finish for his team. Their post-race interview with F1.com was a hilarious affair, as both teased each other mercilessly.
Lando Norris teases Alex Albon after the latter’s interesting strategy
The McLaren driver could not believe that the former Red Bull driver finished in the points. He teased Albon when he revealed that he was pretty close to the McLarens at the end of the race before his last lap pit stop.
When asked if Norris was concerned that Williams might mount up a challenge in the midfield soon, Albon replied,” Yes.”

“Where you there? How far behind Daniel were you?” Lando asked Alex.
“I was about 4 seconds behind him on the second last lap and then I had to pit for another set of tires. I did the whole race not pitting,” answered Alex.

“No way. You should have just finished,” said Lando.
“I know, I know,” replied Albon.
It is Alex’s first point of the season after showing some promising performance in the first two races. As for Norris, he is finally scoring some big points after a disappointing start to the season.
