Phil Mickelson is officially out of the Open Championship after failing to make the cut. His performance may have been disappointing to his standards, but not for Australian-born American author Nick Adams. According to Adams, the “Woke Sports Media” are undermining the performance of Mickelson at St. Andrews.
Nick Adams came to public attention after Donald Trump tweeted comprehending the work of Adams. The author has also been a heavy critic of WNBA star Britney Griner who got arrested by the Russin forces.

After Nick Adams’ tweet, the fans were quick to follow up with their opinions. One fan wrote, “At this moment, he is even par and 9 shots behind the leader for the tournament. But sure, go ahead and whine about the media,” while the others followed on with the fact that Mickelson failed to make the cut.
Though Phil Mickelson did a decent job at St. Andrews, he has set such a high standard for himself, that failing to make the cut would be considered a disappointing performance. He scored a +6 which resulted in him being knocked out of the Major before the weekend.

It wasn’t the first time that Mickelson failed to make the cut. He had a similar experience earlier this year at the US Open. However, the golfer wasn’t alone on the list of top players who failed to make the cut at St. Andrews this year. After shooting 73-75, Brooks Koepka, his running buddy on LIV Golf, also failed to make the cut.
The player with the highest ranking in the current World Rankings who did not compete this past weekend was the defending champion, Collin Morikawa. Morikawa, who won this competition at Royal St. George’s last year and entered the week in eighth place, shot 72-73 to miss the cut by one.
Two former Open champions, Henrik Stenson and Louis Oosthuizen finished at 1-over through 36 holes to miss the cut by one shot. Tiger Woods is without a doubt the most notable player who missed this week. In his third event of the season, Woods shot 78-75, which ended his chance at the Major.
