In the present day, the more influential you are, the more hate you receive. Hate is considered a normal part of an influencer’s life. But is that healthy? With the biggest online influence in golf, Paige Spiranac once revealed how, in an attempt to laugh off the hate, she put an end to her abusers’ nasty comments.

On her latest episode of ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee,’ Spiranac opened up about her stalking and abuse. She had another account, with her full name, that people in college would stalk and send her hate on. They would troll her for it and leave her upset. So, she instead created another account, naming it Paige Renee, and began posting golf videos. “Because who can make fun of that?” she claimed.

The influencer’s decision was a blessing in disguise as now her page has 3.7 million followers. She revealed that as part of her posts, for about three weeks, she had a Thursday ritual called “Thirsty Thursday,” where she would post the “craziest DMS” that she had received and laugh about them with her fans.

One week, she posted a DM that she thought was funny, but her fans were horrified. The ex-pro golfer stated“They were offended. It was highly weird, creepy sexual.” Spiranac realized at that moment how desensitized she was to the disturbing messages and responses she received.

She further added how funny and ironic the incident was and said, “Which is also funny because people say that I hate being objectified, yet I’m so desensitized to, you know, these comments that happen every single day.” The social media icon’s fans then realized how difficult her life was.

How did Paige Spiranac put an end to the awful comments that she received?

Paige Spiranac claimed that was the last day she ever posted that because she didn’t want others to be uncomfortable. But the blonde beauty was glad about having posted it. She said, “I will say, after doing that, all the DMS that I received were much better… So, I’m actually glad that I did that.”

Maxim 2022’s Sexiest Woman Alive stated how shocked the men who followed her were to see what others would post when they thought no one would see it. She explained that she was happy that she had posted the last message because it served as an eye-opener to her fans, and she now rarely receives any “bad messages.”
