BREAKING News: Richard Childress Racing Announces 2023 ARCA Champ as Sheldon Creed’s Replacement

Exciting news is on the horizon for NASCAR fans. Young sensation Jesse Love gears up for his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in 2024. The 18-year-old racing prodigy, fresh off a stunning season in the ARCA Menards Series, is set to join forces with Richard Childress Racing to steer the No. 2 Chevrolet on a full-time basis. Love’s journey into the Xfinity Series will commence with the season opener at the iconic Daytona International Speedway on February 17, 2024.

Jesse Love’s rise in the motorsports world has been nothing short of spectacular. In the 2023 ARCA Menards Series season, Love showcased his prodigious talents by clinching an impressive 10 wins in 20 races. His commanding performance did not go unnoticed, and it was only a matter of time before Love made the transition to the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Richard Childress, the Chairman and CEO of RCR, expressed his enthusiasm about the new addition to the team. According to NASCAR.com, he stated, “We’ve been watching Jesse for a while now. And his breakout performance in the ARCA Menards Series was impressive this season. We know that he has the talent and determination to win races. And compete for championships within RCR’s NASCAR Xfinity Series program. We are looking forward to welcoming Whelen back for another year on the #2 program and feel confident that Jesse will be a strong ambassador for Whelen.”

Bob Pockrass broke the news to the racing fans via his tweet, “ARCA champ Jesse Love will drive the RCR No. 2 car in Xfinity full-time next year. Whelen to be sponsor.”

Jesse Love’s entrance into the Xfinity Series comes with the responsibility of succeeding Sheldon Creed, the current driver of the #2 car. As of now, Sheldon Creed is in the midst of the high-stakes Round of 8 in the Xfinity Series Playoffs, alongside his teammate Austin Hill.
