Too many cooks spoil the broth. With a star-studded lineup, Hendrick Motorsports have had the task of accommodating multiple personalities at the same time. But nothing serious of any sort, as the team dynamics have been more or less harmonious. Boasting the talents likes of Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, and William Byron, the team has continuously churned out wins as half the team already seals a place in the playoffs.

Alex Bowman has been a great addition to the roster as well. The driver of the #48 Camaro has chipped in with points this season, proving his worth to his team. The 30-year-old also has got an affinity for jokes and laughter, if anything, to take away from a glimpse into his latest video at Sonoma.

The HMS roster missed their #9 for the initial phase of the season because of a fractured tibia. Since his return, there has been an increase in their firepower on the tracks. Although the NASCAR champion finds himself in controversy after a recent suspension, he’ll be looking forward to getting the gears up and running at Sonoma. In a new video by the Hendrick Motorsports social handle, they find the director’s camera in Bowman’s hands.

In a follow-up of the race, the scenario shows Byron, Bowman, and Larson waiting for Elliott, who shows up late for the team meeting. Blaming Elliott for the delay in their schedule, Bowman moves on to Byron. Byron has a rather pessimistic answer about being asked about his chances in the race. “Not good. We’ll see”.

After getting a satisfying answer from Larson and citing his own confidence, he then arrived at the 2020 champion.

Chase replies in a calm and composed manner during the hurry for the meeting. “Normal. I feel normal“.  Bowman then adds that this could possibly mean him lapping the whole field as he ends the video.

More such videos of them interacting and showing their funnier sides could be a good idea to do more often.

Chase made a return at Sonoma after a hook at Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin two weeks back saw him in suspension. His place was filled by Corey LaJoie who had a rather disappointing outing in Illinois. Speaking to Fox Sports’ Bob Pockrass, Elliott after the qualifying said, “I feel like my first lap of our session was solid, I missed a couple areas… That was gonna be the big thing — if you can get it done on the first one and not have to run again”

“And then I made a pretty big mistake on my second run… I was honestly surprised we got through, so that was encouraging. And then I about wrecked there in [Turn] 4 on our last lap. Wish I could have gone a little faster. But just glad I didn’t wreck it because I was very close to not driving this car tomorrow. Definitely good to get through. We hadn’t made a second round in awhile so that was nice.” said Elliott highlighting his near miss at turn 4.

Well, the execution by Chase Elliott and the team was certainly on point, to say the least. His fifth-place finish stands testimony to a strong result after the suspension.
