Christopher Bell talks about respect as he points toward Kyle Busch

Since last month, there has been this constant talk about the lack of respect between drivers. With veteran drivers still giving their all to the sport, the natural progression favors the young ones. Moreover, NASCAR’s latest amendments seem to have leveled the playing field, with races becoming more derby-like. Consequently, veteran drivers including Kyle Busch have been voicing their displeasure about the younger generation being disrespectful and arrogant.

But fortunately, that’s not the case here. Even as the host asked Bell a loaded question, the 28-year-old took it lightly. Who do you trust the most when you are racing, teammates aside who do you really feel the most comfortable with on the track racing side by side?” asked Crash Gladys.

Acknowledging the question, Bell mentioned his former teammate, Kyle Busch, You know, that’s a loaded question, and Kyle Busch is on that comes to mind and he was my teammate last year, and now he’s not. So I guess I can’t use that answer but Kyle has always been great to me.”

With the driver joining Kyle Busch back in 2021, it was in JGR that the driver got his first win. Going back to the roots, Bell credited Busch for his brief period in JGR and talked about other veterans he is comfortable racing with.

Over the years, Bell has built a reputation for his skill as well as his versatility, owing to his rich dirt racing background. The Martinsville Speedway winner also named some veterans of the sport whom he respects. He praised Stewart-Haas Racing‘s Kevin Harvick as someone whom he admires.

Bell says, You know, Harvick is a guy, he’s a veteran that will race you very hard if it’s at the right time and place but you know if it’s not in the right time or place he’ll definitely cut you slack and he’s not going to wreck you at all so I always had a good run with Harvick. Even Keselowski, Logano, those guys have been really uh respectful to me.”
