Though his final season in Cup Series was nothing the driver or his team boss, Tony Stewart expected it to be, Harvick had a surprise for Stewart. Despite the tough season, Harvick ended his illustrious career on a sweet note, thanking his team, boss, and his loyal following. While he quite literally gave the fandom one hell of a ride with him for the past two decades, he did not forget to give something back to his SHR boss, Tony Stewart.

Harvick gifted the 3-time Cup Series champion the helmet he wore during the event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. For Stewart, it was a double treat as Harvick’s gift reflected Stewart’s first Brickyard win where Harvick ran second to him.

In a wholesome Instagram post, he noted, “Had a great night celebrating with my bud @kevinharvick when we were in Charlotte. To top it off, he surprised me with his Indy helmet from his final season. The helmet replicates my helmet design from my first Brickyard win, that Kevin ran second to us. So awesome.” Surely, there is no better way to thank your former boss than that.
