As the year draws to a close and the community is busy scrambling for Christmas celebrations, good news is coming in from the racing world. To be precise, reports are coming in from the IndyCar/NASCAR world surrounding the highly anticipated Indy 500 that the ticket sales have already crossed the mark set by last year’s event.

Even with 5 months more to go for the open-wheel extravaganza in May, the authorities have sold 10,000 more tickets than last year. According to Adam Stern, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway has sold 10,000 more than the 2023 edition of the same, possibly because of the star-studded line-up and Cup Series champion Kyle Larson’s Indy run.

Breaking the exciting news to the community, Stern put out a tweet that reads, @IMS says that it’s up by roughly 10,000 tickets for the 108th Indy 500 versus the comparable sales period last year and that it would already have 225,000 people in attendance all told if the May event was held today.” This is a direct indication of the hype surrounding the event and reveals the oomph Kyle Larson has brought in as the 2021 Cup Series champion gears up for his first IndyCar start.

Picture this: a fast & well set-up car roaring its V8 glory, zipping through the country roads. I?m the sort of person who?ll be instantly drawn to something like that. While major racing promotions have stepped closer to the EV revolution, NASCAR still has their V8s singing its tune, which got me into the world of Stock Car Racing.
