Emotions often run high in racing, and on-track incidents can lead to heightened frustration. One such figure expressing his discontent is the legendary 3-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and one of the founders of the SRX Series, Tony Stewart. After the race at Pulaski County Motorsports Park, Tony Stewart spoke candidly about his growing frustration with the drivers who keep wrecking cars race after race.

Tony also took a moment to reflect on his own performance and the challenges he faced on the track. “It just got tight,” he explained, detailing how his car’s handling deteriorated throughout the race.

Tony Stewart’s Frustration: A Plea for Change

Speaking to Frontstretch after Thursday’s race, the SRH owner highlighted how the handling of his car worsened as cautions piled up. However, Tony Stewart’s main concern is the drivers responsible for the seemingly unending crashes in the series. He voiced his belief that action should be taken to prevent them from happening race after race.

When asked about his thoughts on the overall race, Tony Stewart said, “It just got tight. I mean at the beginning when we were on stickers, I was able to really roll the corner really well and could run off the bottom half to three-quarters of a car up in the center of the corner and then just turn. And come down the hill and get it straight good forward drive off. And every caution, I just got a little bit tighter, a little bit tighter at the center of the corner so just couldn’t rotate like I could early and just got worse as we went.”

Chase Folsom also asked him about the aggression from the drivers. “The aggression just seems to keep ramping up every year in this series, tore up a bunch of cars again tonight. What’s it gonna take to stop tearing up race cars every week?”

“Quit having the guys that are tearing cars up from coming back,” the SRX co-owner replied. “So yeah, it’s uh, I haven’t seen any of the stuff, luckily it was all behind me, but it sounds like it’s the same cast of characters.”

In the midst of Stewart’s concerns, Kyle Busch’s victory in the SRX Series also captured the attention of the fans. He spoke in a post-race interview and shared his views on the series and winning his debut race.

Kyle Busch’s first taste of victory in Tony Stewart’s SRX Series was a moment of triumph for him. He highlighted the diverse experiences that the SRX drivers bring to the table. However, Kyle Busch’s victory was not without its challenges, as a racing incident with Brad Keselowski raised questions about the role of spotters in the Series.

Matt Weaver took to Twitter to share Kyle Busch’s reactions after the race. Giving his views on the SRX Series, Busch said, “It’s cool, a lot of fun. You know really great to come out here and just have a good race with the SRX guys. A lot of cool guys that got different personalities on different backgrounds. So it’s nice to be able to get out here and just kind of let loose and go out there for a win. So it was nice to grab that one.”

When asked about the incident with Brad Keselowski and if it had anything to do with not having spotters. Busch said, “Yeah, a little bit of that. I mean, I don’t know if he knew I was there, didn’t know I was there, or what. But, you know, I had a nose in there and I was like, I’m here you know. And I got in next to his door and he came down, we made contact. So definitely a product of spotters.”
