While Curry and LeBron showcase distinct styles of basketball, the prevailing sentiment among NBA fans is that Curry holds the edge as a superior shooter. But, this season has seen LeBron outshine Steph in three-point shooting.

LeBron more efficient from beyond the arc

In his illustrious 21-season career, LeBron has recorded a 3-point percentage of 34.6%. Whereas this season, LeBron has recorded a 3-point percentage of 41.6%. This number puts him in the company of elite shooters like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. In fact, LeBron has outshined Curry in this aspect. Curry is currently shooting at a clip of 41.4% from beyond the arc.

However, this doesn’t make LeBron the better shooter. The answer is much more nuanced. LeBron has only made 66 three pointers this season, at an average of 2.2 per game. On the contrary, Curry has led the NBA in 3-pointers made, with 134 made three-pointers. The player who comes closest to Curry in this category is Luka Doncic. Luka has successfully made 116 three-pointers with a shooting percentage of 38.4%.
