Having spent time under legendary coaches and iconic players with personalities had prepared him to be the coach we see now. Kerr does not always follow traditional methods when coaching. While this may not be looked at in a positive light, the results are what matters.
And results of Steve’s time with the Dub Nation are one of hard work and success. Four championships under his belt as a coach did not come easy. In an interview with Don Yaeger of Forbes in 2015, Kerr explains exactly why this is difficult. “To get a group of highly competitive people to play roles and sacrifice for the team for the greater good is really hard, which is why it isn’t done very often,” he revealed.
But when a coach knows how to bring these supremely talented men to work together, the results are simply beautiful. “Great cultures are always built in places people wouldn’t expect. But as a coach, you have to know what your strengths are and how you play in order for that to happen,” Steve added.
Eight years later, the Warriors are still looking every bit like the dynasty they are. Though this season began on rocky ground, there’s no doubt that they will bounce back. Hopefully against the Spurs tonight.
The Spurs vs Warriors game
The Warriors will be hosting the Spurs at Chase Center tonight. With San Antonio looking to break their 10-game losing streak, they will be driving hard. The Warriors, though slightly better off, will also be looking for redemption.

Losing Green to suspension and having to watch CP3 ejected in their last game, things have been shaky for Kerr’s Warriors. Not to mention, the injury-addled start to the season. With Thompson showcasing average performance and the rest of the team relying a little too heavily on Stephen Curry, defeating the Dubs might look achievable for a high-rolling young core like the Spurs.
But the Golden State is running on veteran juice. And the generational talent, Wembanyama, leads San Antonio. This game will literally be a classic example of the clash of age and youth.
