Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum participated in an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit. A fan asked Tatum what skill he would like to add to his arsenal from another NBA player who has mastered that skill.
Tatum responded that he would love to be able to shoot the ball like Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry. Curry is one of the greatest shooter of all time, and Tatum would love to be able to come close to his level.

Despite being a forward, Tatum uses his shooting ability to get the lion’s share of his points. His natural ability on the ball has brought him great success in the NBA, including multiple All-Star nominations.
Curry and Tatum are on two different levels
Stephen Curry is one of the greatest shooters in basketball history. He makes the most difficult shots look like simple ones. Curry’s ability to create his own shot and knock it down from any distance is something fans have never seen before.
Curry is far ahead of any other shooter in the NBA today. While Tatum probably can’t get to his level, aiming that high can only be good for his development.

For the season, Tatum has been averaging solid numbers. He is averaging 25.7 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists and is shooting at 38% from the three-point line.

This is slightly below his shooting percentage from last year, which was 40%. Despite Tatum’s numbers, the Celtics have struggled this season. Currently, the Celtics are in the seventh seed and will have to enter the play-in tournament to reach the playoffs.
