As per recent reports, the Los Angeles Lakers are ready to let go of Patrick Beverley and Kendrick Nunn. The verdict on Russell Westbrook‘s trade is still heavily uncertain. This is because Jeanie Buss and co. are reportedly contemplating his trade, considering his recent positive performances on the court. Having said that, the Westbrook card is supposedly still a big option. A report stated that the front office is interested in Bojan Bogdanovic, Evan Fourier, and Cam Reddish. However, information about an “ultimate pie-in-the-sky” scenario has left fans online in shambles.

The report read, “Lakers have interest in Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, and Bradley Beal if any of the three stars were to become available.” Following this, NBA Twitter was in chaos. Fans called for the front office to be smart about their decisions. They pointed out that the team doesn’t require an “All-Star” squad.

Fans also claimed that the Lakers don’t have enough to offer to get these big names. One tweet read, “I’m the Lakers fan but for the love of god be realistic!” Many called the Lakers “delusional” while others stated that the Lakers were not serious about their business.

The Lakers have now lost four of their last five games. The game against the Boston Celtics is probably the most painful one, as the Lakers launched an incredible comeback in the third and fourth quarters, only to lose in overtime. The team has had a few “almost” wins now but the Lakers haven’t come in clutch during such games so far.

During an interview, LeBron James was asked, “These almosts, what does it say big picture about this team”. The four-time champion claimed that these scenarios say nothing about the Lakers.

He said, “You’re talking to the wrong guy talking about ‘almost win.’ No. We lost.”
