The Los Angeles Lakers have had a great 2022-23 NBA season. Although they lost 4-0 in the Western Conference Finals, their achievements this season cannot be undermined. They qualified as the #7 seed and beat the #2 seed Grizzlies in the first round.
Moreover, they got past the Warriors led by Stephen Curry in brilliant fashion. However, they suffered a humiliating sweep at the hands of Nikola Jokic in the Western Conference Finals. With a monstrous performance, the 2-time league MVP clinched the Western Conference Finals MVP award.

According to eminent media personality Colin Cowherd, “The Dallas Mavericks have had their eyes on Anthony Davis.” Considering the situation the Lakers are in currently, the Mavericks might as well go in for AD.
James’ future with the franchise remains uncertain. Moreover, there are certainly going to be some departures during the offseason. With all such issues, Davis’ departure will cripple the franchise of two of its players.
