LeBron James breaks an 18-year-old record

LeBron James is possibly one of the greatest basketball players to ever grace the court. But it doesn’t change the fact that his team is at the bottom of the table. The Los Angeles Lakers lost 111-102 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, contributing to their abysmal start to the league.

It is an unbelievable achievement, since a lot of hard work goes into having such consistency for over 19 seasons. Fans, however, were not going gaga over the record. On the contrary, they were upset at the state of the team and also at the four-time Finals MVP. In fact, they flooded social media with their reactions to the news.

Let’s look at some of the reactions.

Fans have called out the Lakers superstar for not uplifting the game of his teammates. The current performances of the Lakers contribute to such a thought process for the 37-Year-old legend.

James has averaged 25.8 PPG in 2022-23, which is decent. But it has gone in vain since the team is struggling to get their first break of the season. Other players had sub-par performances too, much to the disappointment of the fans.

James en route to another record

The Lakers superstar is inches away from breaking another record in 2022-23. The 37-year-old is expected to break the all-time top scorer record of the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar which has been held intact since 1989.
