Who wouldn’t be thrilled to suit up for this generation’s GOAT? It is safe to say that the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic is one of them. Along with Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James, Nikola is the starter for the All-Star team.

It is no surprise that Jokic is a part of the list because his presence has elevated the Denver Nuggets to another level. In fact, that franchise has gotten more relevance in the league now.

It would be unfair to say that LeBron James‘ All-Star team’s starters are anything less than lethal. Not only do they have former MVP award winners like Steph Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and LeBron James, they also have current runners for the MVP race, both Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic.

Although, it’s not like Kevin Durant‘s team is any less. He picked Kyrie Irving, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Bradley Beal, and Kawhi Leonard for his team.

Luka is some steps away from Jokic in the regular season. While Luka’s Mavericks are standing eighth with an 18-16 record, Jokic’s Denver Nuggets are sixth with a 21-15 record. Still very honored to be a part of this team, Jokic reacted to being chosen by LeBron.

As per Mike Singer, Nikola stated, “That’s a pretty good team, I’m not gonna lie.”

Favorites to win this matchup?

Just like last season, ‘The Joker’ has been the key to the Nuggets’ success so far. He is averaging a career-high 27.3 points, 11 rebounds, and 8.6 assists per game. Not just that, he has also had nine triple-doubles in this 2020-21 campaign, making him a force to be reckoned with.

A lot of the season is still left, which means there is much more to see from Nuggets’ Jokic. Back to the all-star game, looking at the LeBron James’ team lineup, they are the clear favorites to win this game.

James’ right-hand man, Anthony Davis, was also supposed to be a part of the All-Star team, but his ACL injury will keep him on the bench.

Nevertheless, the players Bron has added are enough to scare anyone. Should Kevin Durant’s team be extremely worried? Or will they come out as the underdogs that take LeBron’s team by storm?
