In the process, Kevin Durant also got his revenge on former teammate Kyrie Irving, as the duo faced off for the first time since their respective trades. However, fans seem to be throwing shade at Paul for being alert and focused. 

Devin Booker and co. got the better of Luka Doncic and the Mavs after the latter punished the Suns last year in the Western Conference Semi-Finals to send them home. The trash talk between the two in crunch time caught the attention of the NBA world as a budding new rivalry seems to be on the horizon.

Shining bright with their new teams, Kevin Durant dropped a team-high 37 points to get the best of Irving’s 30-point performance. Along with KD, Devin Booker’s 36 points played a crucial role in defeating the Mavs.

Things got heated in the final minutes of the game after both teams traded baskets. However, Chris Paul‘s move off the court received the most attention, with fans showing heat toward the veteran guard.

With KD on the line to take his final free throw, an alert Chris Paul noticed that there were only four players from the Mavs on the court. A video of CP3’s reaction to calling out the Mavs team went viral. Though the referees could not find conclusive evidence of that being the case, fans continued to throw shade at the 37-year-old. Luka Doncic and Devin Booker got into it 

Doncic missed a floater under the basket, which would have tied the game with less than 2 seconds left. Further, Devin Booker made sure he got into Doncic’s head, as he seemingly teased the Mavs guard for missing an easy shot. The Slovenian guard did not hold back as he went up to Booker’s face to confront him.

A similar incident took place previously in game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals last year. However, Doncic made the Suns suffer as they suffered an embarrassing 33-point loss in game 7. Fans are now eager for another playoff series between the two teams after today’s thriller.
