It is yet another sad day for the NBA world and fans, as today, marks the third death anniversary of the late legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi Bryant. The world continues to be in disbelief and shock. Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, along with seven other people, tragically died in a helicopter crash while traveling to Camarilla Airport in Ventura County for a basketball game. The sporting world has never been the same after this terrible incident. 

Numerous stars from various industries took time to honor the Lakers legend and his daughter. Twitter was filled with tweets honoring Kobe and those who passed away. 

Athletes, celebrities, and sports pages across the world honored the five-time NBA champion through social media, bringing back their favorite moments and highlights from his illustrious career.

People honor the memory and legacy of Kobe Bryant

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving, shared on his Twitter, “Rest Peacefully”, mentioning the names of all the people who died that day. Bryant was not just a friend, but also a mentor to Irving. Even after his retirement, Kobe maintained a great relationship with his friends and young players in the league. One such close friend was Irving.

Lakers legend Magic Johnson mentioned in his Twitter, “Every time I speak I acknowledge Kobe and honor his memory by having the crowd clap 8 times and point up to heaven. He is so loved and missed here in LA and around the world!”, remembering Bryant.

Hollywood actor Jonah Hill shared a heartfelt note on his Instagram, sharing a picture of him and his brother courtside next to the ‘Black Mamba’. Hill mentioned, “My brother and I grew up worshipping the Lakers and because of my job we got to sit next to Kobe and the whole team… I have been staring at this photo for days in disbelief and sadness and joy”.

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry also shared a picture on Instagram with Bryant, mentioning “Forever 24/8 . Love & continued prayers to the Bryant, Zobayan, Altobelli, Mauser and Chester families.”
